Yeskey of Deloitte and Touche speaks at recent NYCREW event
February 6, 2009 - Brokerage
New York Commercial Real Estate Women (NYCREW) started the year with its signature market forecast program, featuring Dennis Yeskey, national director, Real Estate Capital Markets practice, at Deloitte and Touche. Â
Yeskey, who infused his presentation with humor despite tough economic times, discussed the impact of the slowdown and the influence of domestic and international financial markets hitting New York particularly hard.
To provide personal benefit given the tremendous economic slowdown, NYCREW's February event will focus on positioning in the marketplace. There will be a "life coach" with other experts who will advise NYCREW members and friends in the real estate community. Programming for the remainder of the year will focus on such hot topics as economic developments and risk, since risk and work-outs will be two areas with expansion potential. Â
NYCREW is the "go to" organization for networking and business development. Â Since the focus of the organization, both at a chapter level and throughout the national network (CREW), is on networking and creating and closing deals, members are keenly interested in growing business through collaboration. That is part of the added valueof an organization like NYCREW.
Participating in the NYCREW Network in this economy will prepare each real estate professional for growth during the recovery period. It is expected that the national funds associated with the "bail out," "TARP" and other programs will have a significant impact on the recovery of New York. NYCREW openly invites members of the real estate community to attend events and join the organization.
