Cresa arranges 250,000 s/f distribution center for power grid components
Locust Grove, GA Cresa’s Michael Herz and Waite Buckley, from Cresa’s NYC office, represented Power Grid Components (“PGC”), a Blackstone Portfolio company, working with Tom Tindall and Brooks Morris, from Cresa’s Atlanta office, in the selection and leasing of a 250,041 s/f industrial space at 3090 Highway 42.
PGC is a North American manufacturer and distributor of advanced components for utility transmission and power distribution with offices and manufacturing centers in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Canada. The Locust Grove location is set to house three key subsidiaries with room for growth and additional product lines.
“This is an organization whose products are at the heart of the nation’s electrical grid,” said Buckley. “Working directly with our client and the building owner, Granite REIT, and its representatives ensured the space would meet PGC’s specific criteria.”
Herz said, “PGC is in a rapid growth mode and finding a central location that optimized supply lines for the three brands and their customers was key. We conducted a comprehensive logistics and labor analysis to determine the optimum locations, ran a structured solicitation to secure the best possible deal for PGC, and are now providing project management services.”
