What skill or quality do you believe is essential for success in your field today?

Understanding sacrifice and the balance between risk and reward is key. In most CRE roles, success and even stability rarely come quickly. The ability to stay disciplined, resilient, and committed while others opt for a more predictable path is what ultimately sets you apart. If you can embrace the long game and keep showing up, the opportunities are limitless.

What advice would you give to a woman considering a career in commercial real estate?

Be yourself and play to your strengths. As women, we often bring particular strengths to the table, just as men may bring different strengths. For me, the focus has always been simple: do my job to the best of my ability and serve my clients with trust, transparency, persistence, and kindness. These are qualities that have nothing to do with gender. Pursue a career in CRE because you truly love it. You’ll learn something new every day, and being a woman in this field gives you a unique way to stand out. We may be underrepresented in the industry, but that only makes our presence more powerful.
