2025 Women in CRE: Minah Shin, Rosenbaum Design Group Architecture
Architectural Drafter
Rosenbaum Design Group Architecture
What has been the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in your career, and why?
In my role at RDG, one of the most rewarding experiences was assisting in the design development phase of a mid-sized office renovation. While I was responsible for supporting tasks like drafting detailed floor plans and coordinating revisions, seeing the project progress from initial concept to final client approval was incredibly satisfying. I especially enjoyed working on the design details that make a big difference in how people use the space — knowing that most people spend half of their day at work, it’s rewarding to help create environments that are both efficient and enjoyable to be in.
What skill or quality do you believe is essential for success in your field today?
I believe adaptability is essential in today’s architectural and CRE environment. With evolving client expectations, changing building codes, and new design technologies like BIM, being able to quickly learn and adjust ensures you can support the team effectively and keep projects moving forward. Staying flexible, open-minded, and willing to problem solve under pressure not only helps the team deliver better results, but also builds trust and credibility over time.
