What’s one challenge you’ve overcome in your career so far, and what did it teach you? A key challenge in my career was transitioning from a hands-on Portfolio Manager to a Regional leadership role. This shift required me to move from direct execution to focusing on strategy, mentorship, and long-term planning. Initially, it was hard to let go of control, but I learned that empowering others and trusting my teams leads to stronger, more scalable outcomes. This experience taught me the value of delegation, coaching, and investing in people — lessons that now define my leadership style and have made watching my teams grow one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? Being promoted to associate director at Rose Associates this year has been a milestone I’m proud of—not just for the title, but for what it represents. I’ve worked across almost every level in this industry, from leasing to community management to portfolio operations. This role reflects years of showing up, executing consistently, and building teams that deliver. It’s the result of staying focused, staying accountable, and being willing to lead by example. What makes it especially meaningful is stepping into a role where I can now mentor others the way I was mentored—and drive impact on a larger scale.

What is your top advice for someone just starting out in your field? My top advice for someone just starting out in property management is to stay curious, stay consistent, and always prioritize people — both your residents and your teams. Learn the operations inside and out but also understand that this is a people-first business. The way you communicate, resolve issues, and build trust will have a bigger impact than any policy or procedure. Stay solution-focused, stay accountable, and always look for ways to grow — both professionally and personally.
