What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? Two projects I am proud of are the Seawolves Village housing development at Stony Brook University and the Wegmans Supermarket at DSW Plaza. Both were large-scale, complex projects that demanded careful coordination and attention to detail. Seeing them successfully come together was incredibly rewarding.

Who has been pivotal in your professional development, and how have they influenced you? Jaclyn Peranteau, PE, & Marc Pilotta, PE, have been instrumental in my professional growth. Their mentorship has helped me refine my technical and problem-solving skills. The resources and opportunities provided by the firm have been essential in shaping my success throughout my career. I am deeply grateful for their guidance which inspires me to continually strive for excellence. Their dedication to fostering a positive and dynamic workplace has made my journey in civil engineering both rewarding and enjoyable.

What’s one challenge you’ve overcome in your career so far, and what did it teach you? One of the most significant challenges — and greatest joys — I’ve experienced recently is becoming a father to a beautiful baby girl. Navigating the early stages of parenthood alongside my wife has sharpened my time management and adaptability. These experiences have directly enhanced my skills as a project manager in engineering. Just as I coordinate and allocate resources at home, I’ve become more deliberate and strategic in managing projects at work, which allows me to properly balance my professional and personal life.

What is your top advice for someone just starting out in your field? My top advice for someone just starting out is to cultivate a strong hunger for learning and an unwavering drive to succeed. In the early stages of your career, it’s crucial to be willing to put in the time and effort needed to master the intricacies of the field. Success comes from dedication, effort, and a constant eagerness to grow.
