Recent goal and impact:
One recent goal I achieved was refining our Economic Inclusion Plan, which I originally created in 2020 to support minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses. By enhancing the program’s structure and expanding access to resources, we’ve helped over fifty businesses get certified, access capital, and secure affordable office space. The impact has been substantial—not only for the businesses we’ve supported but also for our firm. It’s deepened our connections within the community, demonstrated our commitment to economic equity, and reinforced our reputation as a leader in the legal field.
Turning problems into opportunities:
When the pandemic disrupted small businesses, I strengthened our firm to help clients get certified, access capital, and secure office space. This not only empowered over fifty businesses but also positioned our firm as a trusted leader in economic development, deepening community ties and expanding our network.
Sharing knowledge and expertise:
I actively share my knowledge by mentoring young professionals, like our interns and new attorneys. Guiding them through real estate and finance concepts, connecting them with industry contacts, and offering career advice helps them grow while reinforcing our firm’s commitment to developing future leaders.
Giving Back:
As Vice Chairman of Jovia, I played a key role in advancing initiatives that enhance financial literacy and community access to banking services. Collaborating with leadership to develop programs that empower underserved populations has been incredibly rewarding, reinforcing my commitment to economic inclusion and community growth.
