What trends or innovations do you believe will shape the future of your field, and how are you positioning yourself (or your firm) to be at the forefront?

The future of construction will be shaped by the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), advanced building materials, 3D printing, Building Information Modeling (BIM), drone technology, and a strong focus on sustainability with green building practices and recycled materials being prioritized. EDA is already using most of these tools to improve efficiency, safety, and project management across the project construction lifecycle. Our clients are extremely happy when we can beat their deadlines and provide material savings.

Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry?

I’ve been inspired by the strong women, in my personal and professional life, who’ve broken barriers and challenge the status quo. Their resilience and leadership motivate me to push forward. To the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry, my advice is simple: be bold, trust your expertise, and never stop learning. Build relationships, embrace challenges, and always believe in your ability to make an impact. You belong here, and your voice matters.

What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community?

I am most proud of working on the Jones Beach Theater Renovation project. The scope involved a major renovation of the existing outdoor amphitheater built and concourse buildings. Live Nation also added a General Admissions Entrance, Box Office with concessions, VIP entrances, the Member’s Club, Plaza Bar, and Anchor Bar. EDA provided the back-lit polycarbonate glazing at the existing amphitheater, metal panel cladding at the concourse buildings, and the ACM and wood-look cladding at the new buildings and public entrances. EDA completed panel cladding of 8 buildings in less than six months.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work?

I like to spend time with my young son, spending time in nature and learning things.

Do you have a hidden talent or a surprising fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know?

I really enjoy cooking. It takes my mind to a different place; I get to be creative and care-free.
