What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community?

One of my greatest achievements has been working with a talented group of estimators. The teamwork and energy during lump sum bidding months is exhilarating, and a testament to our company’s dedication to building jobs we’re proud of. As I transitioned to project management, my first project at 126 E57th St. is another proud accomplishment. The team has been an essential component to getting this building up and running. You must love it to be in it and you must remind yourself you’re leaving your mark in the greatest city in the world, it’s what keeps me going.

Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry?

As cliché as it sounds, New York City has always been my greatest source of inspiration. Its large-scale construction projects fueled my curiosity about how things get built. Zaha Hadid’s innovative approaches and Alejandro Aravena’s focus on sustainability and social impact have shown me how construction can create lasting change. To the next generation of women in the A/E/C industry: lead with confidence. Trust your knowledge, ask questions when unsure, and always maintain a willingness to learn and grow.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work?

Baking, reading, and listening to comedy podcasts are great ways that get me out of work mode.

Do you have a hidden talent or a surprising fact about yourself that most people wouldn’t know?

I’m very into all things related to gift giving. I love selecting wrapping paper am a pretty good gift wrapper too.
