2025 Women in Construction: June Perino, Holt Construction
Project Manager
Holt Construction
What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community?
One project I take great pride in is the Delta One Lounge at JFK Terminal 4. I led financial tracking and change management, coordinating with project managers, superintendents, accountants, trade partners, and clients. This fast-paced, high-profile project demanded long hours and dedication. I’m proud of both the final product and my leadership in managing critical tasks. Despite challenges, I ensured collaboration and focus, contributing to the project’s success.
Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry?
As a single mother, I strive to do my best for my family and take pride in my work. Seeing completed projects fuels my passion and commitment to growth. My advice is trust your instincts and build a strong, supportive team — success depends on collaboration. Relationships matter, and so does self-advocacy. Remember, “No one can take care of you better than yourself.” Own your career, stay true to your values, and navigate the industry with confidence.
What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work?
Spending time with family and friends recharges me, offering balance, fresh perspectives, and energy.
