What is one of the most exciting developments or innovations impacting the AEC industry right now? BIM technology has transformed the way we design, plan, and build projects, which gives us the ability to identify potential issues before they arise on site. For architects, this tool facilitates real-time visualization, allowing clients to make faster and more informed decisions.

What do you like best about being a woman in the AEC industry? I value the contrasting, yet collaborative perspectives of all the parties involved in a project, without considering gender distinctions. My primary commitment as an architect lies in contributing skills and ideas for the wellbeing of the end user, promoting an inclusive and healthy work environment.

What recent project, accomplishment or award are you most proud of? My journey of relocating to NYC, completing a master’s degree, and thriving as an architect in a successful studio stands as my greatest achievement. Each completed project adds to my pride. They transcend personal success and speak to the realization of our collective creative ideas.

What is your favorite building in New York? The Flatiron has always been a source of joy for me. Its ornate classical details contribute to its charm, yet it maintains a modest appearance. While it refrains from shouting for attention, this building has an elegant presence that never fails to captivate.
