Woodbury, N.Y. The Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS) recognized some of the industry’s best at their annual awards ceremony. Among this year’s honorees was the organization’s legal counsel Peter Curry, Esq., a partner at Farrell Fritz, who was awarded the 2022 Achievement award for his longstanding work to strengthen CIBS and the commercial real estate industry on Long Island.

“Peter is a true advocate of our industry and his contributions to our organization have been considerable,” said CIBS president Daniel Wiener. “Thanks to his leadership and the leadership of so many dedicated professionals, the commercial real estate industry continues to grow despite the uncertainty of the last two years.”

CIBS also honored Patricia Kielawa, vice president of business banking at Hanover Bank, as the Associate Member of the Year. Patti’s contributions over the last few years have been helping in attracting new memberships and sponsorships. She currently serves on our CIBS W Committee and has been instrumental to its growth over the past two years.

Juliana Chiarelli of RIPCO Real Estate; Victor Little of Cushman & Wakefield; and Desmond Mullins of Industry One were awarded the Rising Star award, given to young professionals who show talent and commitment to the commercial real estate industry.
