Buckingham promotes Goldstein and Lasher
October 27, 2008 - Brokerage
According to Larry Glazer, CEO and managing partner of Buckingham Properties LLC, Daniel Goldstein and Donald Lasher have been promoted as partners in the company. The substantial growth of Buckingham Properties the past five years, and the roles Goldstein and Lasher have played in achieving that growth, prompted Glazer to solidify their positions within the company.
Goldstein, also a certified public accountant, will continue to serve as the chief financial officer of the company, the role he has performed since joining Buckingham in 2003. Goldstein earned his bachelor's degree in 1993 at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a focus on Accounting and Finance. His expertise in the areas of financial analysis, entity structures, taxation and finance has been an asset to Buckingham during a highly active period of acquisition and development. Goldstein has made significant contributions assisting Glazer in evaluating and negotiating new projects for Buckingham while also securing the financing for these projects. He is regarded as the "architect" of the 2006 deal that allowed Buckingham to purchase the former Genesee Hospital and surrounding campus.
Lasher has been with Buckingham Properties since 1999 and currently serves as vice president of operations. He is directly responsible for the planning and execution of Buckingham's new construction and re-development projects. Lasher has been an integral part of the re-development of many vacant industrial buildings into thriving mixed-use projects within the city, including the Michaels-Stern building and the Art-craft Optical building (now Buckingham Commons). He has also been the driving force behind the re-development of the former Genesee Hospital doctors' buildings (now Alexander Park) including the 140,000 s/f construction of the new Preferred Care headquarters in Rochester. He will also drive the construction of an additional 100,000 s/f of medical office buildings to be located at Alexander Park on the corner of Alexander St. and Monroe Ave.
"For a long time we were known as the leader in west side industrial property in Rochester" said Glazer. "Dan and Don have each played major roles in the growth of Buckingham's portfolio to include downtown offices, retail plazas across Monroe County, and our expanding volume of new development projects at locations such as Alexander Park, Eagles Landing in Henrietta, as well as Oak Hill Commons in Pittsford. Not only do these guys deserve a share of the company's current rewards, but also a share of the responsibility to help preserve the health and prosperity of Buckingham Properties for many years to come."
