AECOM welcomes Yori as digital solutions studio leader for its Buildings + Places business in Metro New York

New York, NY AECOM hired Robert Yori, associate AIA, as digital solutions studio leader for its Buildings + Places (B+P) business in Metro New York. In this position, Yori will facilitate the strategic and quality delivery of AECOM’s digital solutions across practice areas and market sectors in the region.

“Robert’s hands-on experience with digital solutions immediately strengthens our ability to use innovative digital tools and software on our projects,” said Kim Vierheilig, lead of AECOM’s B+P business in the New York Metro region. “This background, combined with Robert’s proven ability to help our clients identify opportunities for digital improvement, will elevate the services we offer and advance our local and global digital programs.”

Yori will also serve as a key member of the Digital AECOM consulting leadership team for its U.S. East & LATAM region. In this role, he will direct teams involved with BIM, software-driven research and development, and user interface/user experience capabilities to develop software applications that help manage projects more efficiently and better serve clients’ emerging business needs.

“I began my career as an architect and then slowly shifted to the digital areas of practice,” said Yori. “I find it invigorating to drive innovation in the industry through digital transformation, data-facilitated collaborative practice, strategic and tactical technology adoption, knowledge management, and change management. I am excited to join AECOM’s industry-leading digital team to deliver value-added services for clients.”

Prior to joining AECOM, Yori held leadership positions at several engineering and architecture organizations, where he elevated digital capabilities through team and software development, product licensing models and e-commerce approaches. Mr. Yori has extensive experience developing and executing strategy in collaboration with senior leadership and advisory boards. In addition, he serves as an industry thought leader, publishing articles and giving presentations on technical and management topics.

Yori earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree at The Catholic University of America. He is a recipient of Architect Magazine’s Research and Development Awards, which honor research and technologies that advance the profession.
