Ciminelli Real Estate wins NAIOP award for The Sinclair

Buffalo, NY According to Ciminelli Real Estate Corp., the company has been awarded 2016 Best Residential-Buffalo by the NAIOP Upstate NY Chapter for its most recent residential project, The Sinclair. 

The NAIOP Upstate NY Chapter award recognizes projects in Upstate that perform at the highest level and contribute to their surroundings.  Specific areas of interest include project concept, innovation, strengths, and features. 

The Sinclair is located at 465 Washington St. The building was originally constructed in 1909 for Sinclair Rooney & Co., an established millinery. Ciminelli redeveloped the 6-story, 78,176 s/f building into a residential/mixed-use project, focusing on its connections to public transportation and the surrounding neighborhood. The Ciminelli team created 45 residential units, 10,000 s/f of office space, and 2,000 s/f of retail space. Construction was completed in June. Ciminelli’s project team included CJS Architects, and SM Hayes Construction, First Niagara Bank provided the project financing.

The NAIOP Upstate NY Chapter will recognize all 2016 award winners at an event on November 10, 2016 in Rochester, NY.
