Benrubi named president of CoreNet Long Island chapter

Melville, NY The L.I. chapter of CoreNet Global has named Robert Benrubi president of the chapter. Benrubi is CEO of Community Health and Development Strategies. He succeeds Kathy Pasquale, director of business development & marketing at JRS Architect, who served as chapter president from 2011 to 2015. 

Benrubi brings seasoned real estate leadership to the chapter. He is an attorney with more than 20 years’ experience working with and in healthcare systems; community- and economic-development entities; and municipal, state and federal governments. His expertise is in establishing, financing and guiding public-private partnerships among governmental entities, not-for-profits, healthcare organizations and the private sector to meet the needs of all stakeholders.

Benrubi previously served as counsel to the chief executive officer of NuHealth, a 1,100-bed community healthcare system, where his responsibilities included managing all real estate development, land-use issues and environmental compliance for NuHealth’s two campuses and five community health centers.

Benrubi is a frequent panelist at national conferences on asset leveraging, public-private partnerships, community-based development strategies and non-traditional financing for economic-development projects.  He received a J.D. degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Administration from Dowling College.
