Kohn, Lieber, Wadler and Lopez of KDA arrange 7,200 s/f lease for Queens Brewery
May 26, 2015 - Brokerage
According to Neil Dolgin and Kalmon Dolgin, co-presidents of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates, Inc. (KDA), the firm has arranged a 7,200 s/f lease for Queens Brewery (QB) Collective LLC, a New York state-based brewery at 1539 Covert St. in the Ridgewood section.
KDA brokers Joel Kohn and Avrum Lieber represented the ownership, Covert Holdings LLC, while Jacques Wadler and Vincent Lopez, also of KDA, negotiated on behalf of the tenant, QB Collective LLC. The brewing company will occupy 7,200 s/f of the 35,000 s/f, two-story building, which also features a 2,400 s/f lot of land.
QB, whose products are available throughout the NYC area, has been operating out of a space upstate in Saratoga Springs for the past year. The company is relocating to a 4,800 s/f space at 1539 Covert St., and will occupy the 2,400 s/f of land, as they would like to have more of a presence in the county after which the beer is named. QB plans to open at 1539 Covert St. in September, using the indoor space as a brewery with an on-site tap room and bar, and the outdoor space as a beer garden.
The property at 1539 Covert St. is between Irving and Wycoff avenues, situated right on the Queens-Brooklyn border. The Halsey St. L subway line is around the corner, as are the B20 and B26 bus routes.
