Furnished Quarters to launch the Q&A Residential Hotel brand

Furnished Quarters, one of the largest providers of temporary furnished apartments in New York and Boston, revealed its new residential hotel concept will be called Q&A. The hotel brand pays homage to creativity, innovation, and providing solutions for today's business traveler. All suites will be full-sized, furnished, turnkey apartments - most with separate office space. Q&A expects to open its doors in spring 2015 at Manhattan's iconic 70 Pine in the Financial District. "In a fast-changing world, you need to be creative to be relevant," notes Steve Brown, CEO of Furnished Quarters. "And that's just what we are doing with Q&A—providing short-stay live-work suites within our hotel that feel like home and are available for shorter stays than traditional corporate apartments." Q&A derives its namesake from questions posed by corporate travel managers and business travelers—how can I be more productive? How can I save money for my firm? How can I stay in an apartment in NY for less than 30 days? Q&A puts forth the answers with its new residential hotel solution. Ranging from 450 to 1,400 s/f, Q&A's suites will be more than twice the size of a typical New York City hotel room and each will contain a fully equipped kitchen. Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz—the designer behind the Mondrian Soho Hotel in New York City and the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles—in conjunction with Furnished Quarters' in-house design team, is responsible for all facets of Q&A's interior design, blending contemporary décor with custom furnishings that inspire thought and imagination. Q&A at 70 Pine will offer 132 suites that will comprise four floors of the historic Art Deco skyscraper in studio, one- and two-bedroom configurations. Hotel services at the location will include complimentary continental breakfast, concierge services, and preferential access to the exclusive rooftop lounge and signature restaurant. Guests will also enjoy entry to an on-site luxury fitness facility, a fully equipped business center, both shared and private work and conference spaces, and valet laundry and dry cleaning services.
