Malkin of W&M Props. to speak at YM/WREA April 8 meeting

The Young Men's/ Womens Real Estate Association will hold a meeting April 8 featuring Anthony Malkin of W&M Properties as the guest speaker. Malkin received a B.A. degree cum laude in English from Harvard College in 1985.
That year, Malkin joined Chemical Venture Partners, L.P., a recently formed venture capital and leveraged buyout affiliate of Chemical Bank (now CCMP Capital.)
In 1989, Malkin joined W&M Properties and Wien & Malkin LLC, where he now serves as president. W&M Properties is the real estate acquisition, management, construction and marketing arm of the Malkin family, which has been active in real estate for four generations. The businesses are involved with office, residential, and retail real estate in 17 states and have full in-house capabilities, including: acquisitions, financing, equity raising, engineering, construction, marketing, management, accounting, and cleaning. The Malkins have structured more than $900 million of acquisitions and $1.95 billion of financings, over $1.38 billion of sales, and more than $110 million in structured equity and mezzanine investments in transactions with total capitalization of $1.76 billion.
Malkin is a full member of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the board of governors of the REBNY, a board member of Greenwood Resources, a member of the advisory board of MissionPoint Capital Partners, a member of the advisory council of the Center for Market Innovation at the Natural Resources Defense Council, a board member of the Committee to Encourage Corporate Philanthropy, and a member of the Committee on University Resources of Harvard University.
