AREW to celebrate "Three Decades of Breaking Ground" at May 8th gala

The Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) will celebrate the culmination of "Three Decades of Breaking Ground" in New York real estate and in promoting and supporting the career growth of real estate professionals, with a 30th Anniversary Gala on May 8th from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel at Columbus Circle. The event will honor three of New York's most distinguished companies for outstanding achievements in the following real estate categories: * Innovative Development: Swig Equities, LLC, Kent Swig, president; * Urban Renewal: Forest City Ratner Cos., Joanne Minieri, president and COO; and * Creative Capitalization: Apollo Real Estate Advisors, Richard Mack, managing partner. The 30th Anniversary Gala is being overseen by co-chairs Jennifer McCool, AREW vice president and vice president, development, Moynihan Station Venture, and Dana Endicott, AREW member-at-large and managing director, Floorworks, Inc., under the auspices of the AREW board of directors and 2007-08 president Frances Ann Delgorio, senior vice president, leasing and marketing, Cohen Brothers Realty Corp. "AREW's vision for celebrating this 30-year benchmark is to acknowledge the present, with an eye to the future, by celebrating exceptional achievements and leadership within our industry and AREW itself," said McCool. "When founded, AREW was an innovative force in real estate, creating an opportunity for women to meet, network and learn from each other. Today, women change the landscape of New York on a daily basis, and AREW maintains its leadership position by keeping its finger on the pulse of all aspects of the real estate industry," said Delgorio. The 30th Anniversary Gala, held amid the five-star service and ambience and views of Central Park and the New York City skyline of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 80 West 60th St. at Time Warner Center, will include a cocktail reception, dinner, the industry awards and program. Individual tickets are $400 per person for AREW members and $500 for non-members, which may be purchased at www.arew.org.
