Kohler joins VHB's Newark office as project manager

VHB, a planning, transportation, land development, and environmental services firm with five offices in New York and New Jersey, announces that Robert Kohler has joined the firm as a project manager. Kohler brings extensive experience in the management of transportation planning and design projects throughout urban, suburban, and rural settings. In his new role, Kohler will play a key role in enhancing the firm's growing real estate and institutional practices in the region.
He has worked on numerous single- and mixed-use development projects that included residential, commercial, educational, and institutional uses, many of which have been designed in accordance with LEED certification requirements and sustainability principles. Kohler also offers extensive experience with the planning and design of transit-oriented developments.
"Rob's in-depth knowledge of the region's institutional, residential, and commercial development markets will benefit our private and public sector clients and help them move their projects forward quickly," said Tom Phelan, Newark regional office manager.
Kohler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
