March 10, 2008 - Brokerage
Myles Horn, principal of MJH Birchwood LLC, the development partner of The Towers at Water's Edge, a private waterfront community in the upscale Bay Terrace neighborhood of Bayside, recently hosted a luncheon for the Chinese American Real Estate Association (CAREA) at the Gala Manor Restaurant in the Flushing neighborhood. More than 70 association members enjoyed dim sum, networking with peers and Horn's presentation about MJH Birchwood's resort-style development in Bayside, and Queens as an emerging borough.
Nancy Liang, chair of Event Committee of CAREA, said, "The presentation was both engaging and informative, and we look forward to continued collaboration with MJH Birchwood."
Founded in 1988, CAREA's mission is to promote the economic and social well-being and professional advancement of its more than 300 Chinese-American real estate brokers. To achieve this mission, the association often partners with developers like MJH Birchwood to hold educational presentations. At the January luncheon, Horn spoke to attendees about the transformation of Queens.
Redesigned by Lawrence Shapiro, president of Lawrence M. Shapiro, Inc., in conjunction with Freyer Collaborative Architects, The Towers at Water's Edge features interiors by Gail Horn Designs and Patrick Sheeran of Design Promotions. MJH Birchwood's 228 sponsor units throughout the 832-unit development range from 600 to 1,400 s/f and span three adjacent buildings.
