Collins and Reilly of All Island to sell "Green" House

January 28, 2013 - Brokerage
Located on a one-acre site along the north side of Montauk Hwy., the "Green" House is now offered for sale for the second time in the 222 years since it was built. Constructed circa 1786, George Washington stopped at the "Green" House on his tour of L.I. during his second year as President in 1790. The "Green" House remained in the ownership of the Greene family and its descendants until purchased in 1998 and restored by the current ownership. The property is classified as a landmark and is now available for professional office use. Bill Collins and Christine Reilly of All Island Realty are marketing the property. The "Green" House would not look much different today from when George Washington visited in 1790, with the exception of certain changes such as one story additions in the rear and on the east side, along with modern amenities. Beautiful historical details and artifacts are found throughout its 5,400 s/f of office space.
