Picco of Cushman & Wakefield represents tenant in 14,486 s/f lease

Doral Financial Corp. has leased the entire 14,486 s/f 19th floor at Charles Cohen's 623 Fifth Ave., more than doubling its space at the 36-story tower to 30,000 s/f. "We're delighted that this respected banking company has chosen to continue to grow its business at 623 Fifth Ave.," said Cohen, who has successfully transformed the former single user building (Swiss Bank Tower) into a world class center for elite financial firms and service providers. The upgraded office building sits above the Saks Fifth Ave. flagship department store. John Picco of Cushman & Wakefield represented Doral Financial Corp. in the long-term lease while David Nevins and Steven Lambert of Cohen Brothers Realty Corp. represented the building owner. Current tenants at 623 Fifth Ave. include Merrill Lynch, UBS Securities, German-based DEPFA Bank, Cargill's Black River Asset Management, Credit Suisse First Boston, and many others. Other signature Manhattan office buildings owned and managed by Cohen Brothers include 805 Third Ave., 750 Lexington Ave., 622 Third Ave., 135 East 57th St., 3 Park Ave., 979 Third Ave., 3 East 54th St., and 475 Park Ave. South.
