Reckson appoints Holst as director of architectural services

According to Reckson, a division of SL Green Realty Corp., Matthew Holst, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has been appointed the company's new director of architectural services. In his new post, he is responsible for providing high quality, sustainable architectural advisory services to tenants occupying spaces in the company's 5 million s/f, class A commercial office portfolio, comprised of properties located in Westchester, Conn. and N.J.
Working with leasing and property management, his mandate is to assist existing tenants wishing to expand and/or renew, as well as incoming new tenants, with space planning and conceptual/architectural design.
"We are very excited that Matt has joined our team to advise tenants on how to best to design office space in order to achieve maximum operating efficiencies," said John Barnes senior vice president and senior director of Reckson, who added that Holst is taking over the post most recently held by Jason Black who was just promoted to director of sustainability for SL Green's entire 57-property portfolio of owned, managed and/or leased buildings.

He has over a decade of experience in providing programming and feasibility analysis through site planning and construction on commercial, institutional, educational and residential projects."
Among his noteworthy projects are: the complete interior renovation, exterior re-cladding, façade re-design and renovation of Reckson's Landmark Sq., Stamford, Conn.; and BIC Corp.'s new 150,000 s/f consumer products office building in Shelton, Conn.
Holst's professional affiliations include National Council of Architectural Registration Board, American Institute of Architects, and Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society in business, management and administration. He earned an MBA degree from University of New Haven, a BA degree in architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology, and is a licensed architect LEED accredited professional, BD+C.
