Brandt, Steinberg & Lewis LLP, a law office that handles real estate tax assessment matters for commercial and residential properties, has promoted attorney, Peter Blond to the position of partner. Blond first joined Brandt, Steinberg & Lewis LLP in 1997 and then returned in 2008 after spending five years with Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein P.C., a full-service law firm on L.I. During his time with the firm, he expanded his knowledge and experience, working on cases in Nassau and Suffolk counties. He also wrote several articles and lectured extensively on real estate property tax matters. "In the past 80 years, our firm has only had five partners," said Hubert Brandt, founding partner of Brandt, Steinberg & Lewis LLP. In such a small organization, each of our attorneys must fill the role of rainmaker and client advocate while still being able to interact seamlessly with the other partners and office staff. Peter exemplifies these qualities and much more. We are happy to welcome him as a member of our family." Blond's areas of concentration include tax certiorari, eminent domain, exemptions and tax incentive programs. He has written several articles and lectured extensively on real estate property tax matters. During his career, Blond has represented thousands of commercial properties on Long Island and in the five boroughs. As partner, he will now be the firm's primary attorney responsible for handling real estate property tax cases occurring in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Blond earned his bachelor's degree in legal studies from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1994 and graduated from St. John's University Law School in 1997. He was admitted to the Bar in 1998.
