Murphy appointed CFO of Parsons Brinckerhoff

John Murphy has been named CFO at Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB). In his new position, he is responsible for the global financial and accounting operations of the firm. He has over 25 years of financial and senior management experience, including 14 years working with major engineering contractors and their domestic and international operations. Prior to joining PB, he was VP of Irving Transportation Services, with overall responsibility for the integrated transportation activities of the Irving Group. He also served as a VP for the Irving Group's marine and industrial division and was director of corporate planning for J.D. Irving, Limited. He previously served as executive VP-finance and finance director of the engineering & construction division of KVAERNER ASA in London and as VP of finance and administration for the KVAERNER METALS operations (formerly Davy International) in San Francisco. He also served as CFO/director for the Davy International subsidiary in Toronto, Canada operations. He earned a bachelor of commerce degree from Mount Allison University, Canada. He is a chartered accountant in Canada.
