Plaza Construction completes renovation of the Gateway Center

Newark, NJ Plaza Construction LLC has recently completed the renovation of the Gateway Center for Onyx Equities. This project included the modernization of three of the Gateway Center building lobbies, renovation of the Concourse, a half mile long tenant walkway connecting the buildings of the complex, and the addition of a new grand Jewel Box entrance to the Gateway Center. 

Michael Moore, senior vice president, and executive in charge spearheaded the notable project for Plaza Construction.  

The Jewel Box is a state-of-the-art entrance way facing the historic Newark Penn Station. It will serve as the new grand entrance to Newark and connect the city to the newly renovated lobbies of Class A office space, and over 100,000 s/f of newly added retail/dining options in what is known as The Junction. This renovation serves as a cornerstone to the revitalization of downtown Newark linking the newly renovated Class A office towers and retail/dining spaces to the surrounding community. Plaza Construction LLC was contracted by Onyx Equities as their Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate the pre-construction, procurement & construction activities required for the renovation of this project in its entirety.
