Oster, Garvin, Gembecki and Galligan of Cushman & Wakefield execute $14.3 million sale

Manhattan, NY Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has arranged the sale of 228 Thompson St., a five-story, mixed-use building located in Greenwich Village. The final closing price was $14.3 million.

Senior managing director Hall Oster, executive managing director Guthrie Garvin, director Michael Gembecki and director Teddy Galligan of C&W led the marketing efforts.

“The buyer secured a turn-key mixed-use building with significant in-place cash flow that will continue to benefit from its world-class location,” said Oster.

The building has recently undergone a full gut renovation and is comprised of a ground floor retail space with four large apartments above. All of the apartments contain luxury finishes, including stainless steel appliances and washer and dryer. Other features of the building include tall ceiling heights, a curated common roof deck, private outdoor spaces for bottom two units and a large mechanized sky light above the living room in the top floor unit.

Just south of Washington Square Park, adjacent to NYU’s main campus and two blocks north of SOHO, the building is located in one of the most desired parts of the borough. 228 Thompson St. just a few blocks from Washington Square Street subway station offering access to A,D, E line and only a few blocks from the Broadway West 3rd bus station servicing M1 and M55 bus routes.
