Jack Resnick & Sons inks new lease with Foster Garvey at One Seaport Plaza

Manhattan, NY Jack Resnick & Sons finalized a 11,445 s/f agreement with Foster Garvey, P.C. to relocate its New York office to One Seaport Plaza, Resnick’s office tower located at 199 Water St.

Foster Garvey will occupy a portion of the 9th floor of Resnick’s 1.1 million s/f downtown tower as part of a new 10-year lease. Foster Garvey will relocate from 100 Wall St. Foster Garvey will move into its new offices at 199 Water St. this fall.

Jack Resnick & Sons was represented in the lease transaction by an in-house team of Brett Greenberg and Adam Rappaport, as well as by John Cefaly, Ethan Silverstein, Stephen Bellwood and Rachel Rosenfeld of Cushman & Wakefield. Nicholas Farmakis and Steve London of Savills represented Foster Garvey.

“We are pleased to welcome Foster Garvey to our expanding tenant roster at 199 Water St.,” said Jonathan Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons. “Lower Manhattan is seeing great interest from a wide range of companies, and One Seaport Plaza sits in a vibrant live-work-play community.”

Resnick’s agreement with Foster Garvey follows a February announcement that Forte Capital Group and Accounting & Compliance International (ACI) will relocate to One Seaport Plaza this summer.

Resnick has also announced plans to renovate the building’s lobby later this year. The renovation will feature European oak paneling designed to accentuate the light-filled atrium lobby’s granite finishes and original paintings by renowned contemporary artist Frank Stella. Resnick will also install new lounge and seating areas for its tenants and guests in both the main lobby on Water Street and the rear lobby which opens up to the Front Street cobblestones of the historic Seaport District.

Built in 1984 and located at the gateway to the Seaport District, One Seaport Plaza at 199 Water S. has achieved LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council; a WELL Health Safety rating; Wired Certified Platinum for excellence in internet connectivity; and the EPA’s Energy Star certification.

Other major tenants at 199 Water St. include Allied World Insurance, BGC, WeWork and Seaport Entertainment. 199 Water St. is near all major lower Manhattan subway lines, and the Pier 11 ferry service. The property is adjacent to the ultimate New York City amenity of The Seaport and Pier 17.
