New Paltz, NY On Friday, October 7th over 120 shooters enjoyed a spectacular fall day at IREM NYC’s fourth annual Sporting Clays fundraiser at Mid-Hudson Sporting Clays. The event benefitted SHAREing & CAREing, a grass roots organization in Queens that supports breast cancer patients by addressing their needs in a friendly and warm environment and GiGi’s Playhouse NYC, changing the lives of individuals with down syndrome through delivery of free educational, therapeutic-based and career development programs. The event raised over $43,000, which will be donated to the two charities.

“We’re so grateful to all of our sponsors, colleagues and friends who came out to support this event, enabling us to make a sizable donation to each of these most worthy charities, especially IREM NYC Industry Partners JMA Engineering & Consultants and Dynamic Construction, two of the event’s most generous supporters.” said IREM NYC chapter president Michael Torres, CPM.

On October 24th Michael Torres and Tina Thiakodemitris ARM, VP Chapter Activities presented a check to the founder of SHAREing &
CAREing Anna Krill (center). Krill, a two time breast cancer survivor said that the funds will go directly to those who need it most.
