IREM NYC 5k to benefit Project Parachute

New York, NY Masks may be coming off and life as we knew it may be slowly resuming, but for thousands of New Yorkers, the financial impact of the pandemic will be felt for years to come. That’s why IREM NYC decided to help out. IREM NYC is hosting a 5K to benefit Project Parachute, an organization whose mission is to help New Yorkers financially impacted by the COVID crisis stay in their homes. Project Parachute endeavors to enable tenants to remain in their homes and avoid eviction even after the moratorium expires and to assist renters navigating their inability to pay rent.

The 5K is virtual (we planned it long before the CDC’s recent mandate) and we’re giving you four days to complete it—June 24-27. That’s right! Run, jog or walk 5K in four days. You can do it! Get some exercise and do something good for your fellow New Yorkers. Individual registration is $55 and includes a race tee-shirt. Corporate sponsorships are also available. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Project Parachute.

Please visit iremncy.org to register or for more information. For more information about Project Parachute, please visit projectparachute.nyc
