Gonzalez joins Crystal Window & Door as chief information officer

Queens, NY Daniel Gonzalez has joined Crystal Window & Door Systems as chief information officer. Gonzalez will oversee all IT functions across the organization and guide the company’s long-range strategy for technology driven manufacturing.

“Daniel brings a wealth of experience in IT, particularly in manufacturing environments, and has a proven track record leading transformative technology projects,” said John Christie, Crystal’s chief financial officer.

“Daniel will develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy, ensuring a balance between operational efficiency and growth.”

Reporting to the CFO, Gonzalez will oversee the IT applications and infrastructure for all Crystal and subsidiary facilities across the country. One of his primary goals will be to enhance the alignment of systems for company operations from sales through production and delivery, and administrative functions such as financial accounting and reporting. This will result in improved real-time reporting and consistent information management for strategic and operational decision making.

“By creating a technology map for Crystal to bring everything under one umbrella, we can realize significant improvements and cost savings with operational efficiencies,” said Gonzalez. “Ultimately, our efforts and investment in next generation technology and automation will enhance the overall customer experience, making it easier for Crystal to deliver its quality products swiftly and seamlessly.”

Prior to joining Crystal, Gonzalez served as global vice president of IT for international packaging giant Truvant, where he guided ERP implementation at all North American facilities, with substantial efficiency improvements in production. Gaining experience in the fenestration industry, Gonzalez was IT director for Jeld-Wen for 62 North and South American facilities, achieving millions in operational savings with new IT platforms and systems enhancements. He also was senior IT manager at Republic Elite Industries, national kitchen and bath cabinetry manufacturer in Texas, where he directed all IT operations and implemented system-wide ERP applications.

Gonzalez earned a Systems Engineer degree and master’s degree in finance from the Universidad ICESI, in Cali, Columbia. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from Anderson University, in Anderson, IN.
