DiMarco Constructors completes 10,000 s/f UR Medicine Primary Care buildout

1900 Empire Blvd. - Penfield, NY 1900 Empire Blvd. - Penfield, NY

Penfield, NY Webster Family Medicine, a project of UR Medicine Primary Care, has opened a new location at 1900 Empire Blvd. Formerly at 1672 Empire Blvd., the office outgrew its space and required an improved HVAC system, wider hallways and larger exam rooms to meet patients’ needs and requirements from the Department of Health.

Patients of the family medicine practice were concerned the new office would be a farther drive for them, according to Kathleen Andre Brown, project manager for University of Rochester Primary Care. The practice serves a wide variety of ages, from babies to the elderly. “When we found out about all the renovations happening at BayTowne, we thought this would be a great opportunity,” Brown said.

Since the official opening last month, patients and staff alike have expressed approval of the new location. “Patients love it — they’ve had nothing but positive things to say,” Brown said. “It’s light and bright with lots of windows, and the finishes are just lovely.”

The buildout of the space was executed by DiMarco Constructors, a full-service general contractor and construction management company. The new 10,000 s/f building features 18 exam rooms, including a large treatment room specifically outfitted for geriatric patients and patients with disabilities. There is also a lab next door that is open to the public — lab services are not restricted to patients of the practice.

Webster Family Medicine is not currently accepting new patients, but there are plans (and now space) to add a new physician in the future.

“The doctors are so happy with the site,” Brown said. “The DiMarcos actually came out and spoke to the practice manager — she was very impressed with that.”

DiMarco Group president and COO John DiMarco II was pleased to welcome the new practice to the property. “It’s really exciting,” he said. “We’re looking forward to watching the impact this office will have on the entire neighborhood.”

Established in the early 1900s as a general contractor, DiMarco Constructors is a full-service general contractor and construction management company based in Rochester, New York. DiMarco Constructors offers both local and national clients services in pre-construction, design/build, general contracting and construction management.
