What is your favorite building in New York? The Met Breuer is one of my favorites for its unique presence in the urban fabric. Its bridge entry and sunken courtyard accentuate the building’s mass and provide a sense a passage from the city into another world. Originally the Whitney Museum of Art, the building’s ownership continues to evolve, proving its utility.

What recent project, accomplishment or award are you most proud of? Earlier this year, a project I’m a part of concluded nearly a year of complex foundation work. After the team’s perseverance through countless challenges and unique agency requirements, a slab was poured on top of all the effort, now hidden from view. It was a good reminder that even the invisible aspects of projects can be a true source of pride.
