What has been the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in your career, and why?

I represented the owner of a large retail complex in Las Vegas in the acquisition, and I was selected by my client to lead and represent him in all of his leases at the large complex. Even though I was based in New York, the client chose me to represent him in the massive leasing program which changed the landscape of the Las Vegas strip. I represented my client in leases with national retailers, massive food and beverage operators and entertainment venues.

What advice would you give to a woman considering a career in commercial real estate?

Drive, Determination and Care. One must be driven and determined to excel but care about her clients and their important work. Of course, a foundation of knowledge, expertise and sophistication is paramount but that is just the baseline - unless you are driven to achieve the best results for your client and genuinely care about your client’s goals and how best to achieve them, success will be difficult to achieve.
