2025 Ones to Watch - Rising Stars: Matthew Kalick, Silverstein Properties

Matthew Kalick
Project Manager
Silverstein Properties

“Matthew’s unique blend of building management expertise and portfolio-wide project management skills positions him as a formidable force in our industry” -  Bill Dacunto, EVP, Operations, Silverstein Properties.

What recent professional milestone or project are you most proud of, and why? Recently, I had the opportunity and privilege to work as the operations project manager on a major and successful building systems transition affecting six properties, representing 10 million s/f of the Silverstein properties portfolio. The project scope entitled the transition of the visitor management and work order/preventative management systems to one standardized platform with full access control and accounting system integrations. This transition involved significant coordination with the respective property teams, multiple departments within Silverstein, and third party vendors.

Who has been pivotal in your professional development, and how have they influenced you? While the entire Silverstein Operations team has been integral to my current success our EVP, Bill Dacunto, has been the most pivotal. Bill has been a major player in my career at Silverstein from my initial hire as an Energy Analyst, to the opportunity to move to 1177 Avenue of the Americas as assistant property manager, and return to the corporate operations department as a project manager. Bill’s continued efforts to instill the highest of class A standards in the department and Silverstein at-large and lead from the front are an inspiration to improve and build on my abilities.
