2025 Ones To Watch - Industry Leaders: Jonathan Kaufman Iger, Sage

Jonathan Kaufman Iger
CEO & President
Sage

Recent goal and impact:

At Sage, our vision is to enrich the lives of people at work. We achieve this by providing beautiful spaces, inspiring experiences and exceptional service throughout our properties. We recognize that our customers are both our tenants and their employees, who become Sage members. Our long-term goal, realized this past year, has been to create a real estate brand – a consistent customer experience offering across our collection of properties, where every customer touch point is elevated. Our platform has proven to reduce space downtime, mitigate letting capital, and increase rental rates.

Turning problems into opportunities:

Tenant expectations have shifted over the past decade. Employers are faced with providing elevated workplace solutions and flexible schedules to their employees, addressing the growing nomadic workforce and facing a multi-generational workforce with vastly different expectations from their employers. Rather than seeing this as a roadblock, we recognized it as a unique opportunity to redefine what the office experience could be – and, in doing so, reposition Sage as a leader in the industry’s next chapter -- by embracing the concept of branded office properties.

Best advice for new leaders:

Foster more than just Curiosity. Curiosity must be combined with a culture of open communication.
