What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2024?
This year we were thrilled to see one of our most prominent mixed-use transit oriented development projects, Bryant Plaza at the Roslyn LIRR station, brought to life. This development is as good an example as any of how quality architecture and creative, thoughtful design can elevate Long Island downtowns and improve the quality of our region. The 52 new rental apartments and 6,000 s/f of new retail and restaurant space will completely reinvigorate the neighborhood around Roslyn station, and the creative modern architectural design will help encourage young professionals to enter this community.
What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2025?
We’re continuing to see augments and virtual reality technologies disrupt the design and real estate space, where we now take all of our clients through a fully immersive virtual reality walkthrough of their projects at various points throughout the design phase. This allows us to streamline our workflow and help our commercial and residential clients to fully visualize the concepts of our design proposals, and to better understand the value this elevated level of design can bring to the table. This kind of experience helps get entire development teams and other stakeholders to buy in to the value of the design.
