2023 Women in CRE: Sevinc Yuksel, Rudin

Sevinc Yuksel
SVP, Head of Design & Construction
Rudin

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I’ve spent my career working on high-profile projects that have transformed the NYC skyline, but I’m most proud of the teams I’ve built and led, as well as the people I’ve trained and mentored. As the first woman to serve in this role at Rudin, I’m focused on restructuring and modernizing the division to foster collaboration, all while staying true to the culture that’s made Rudin a powerful force in NYC for almost a century.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you? I’m inspired by trailblazers – RBG, Serena Williams, my mother – bold, driven and ambitious, who’ve taught me I can do whatever I set my mind to.

Why should this nominee be recognized in our Women in Commercial Real Estate Spotlight? “Sevinc’s multifaceted construction management expertise, combined with her deep understanding of NYC’s development process, make her a dynamic force within the industry. At Rudin she directs and oversees capital planning, design and construction across our 14.1 million s/f portfolio, all while serving as a passionate mentor for the next generation.” - Samantha Rudin Earls, Executive Vice President at Rudin.

What are the most important factors women in your industry should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with? It’s essential that a firm values and empowers women and other underrepresented groups and actively demonstrates that in their daily practice.
