2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Victoria Tran, Tredway

Victoria Tran
Investment Associate
Tredway

Number of years at firm: 1

One thing on my bucket list: Learn how to cook Vietnamese cuisine. My skills in the kitchen have lots of room for improvement. I am committed to learning the recipes for Vietnamese specialties such as Bún Bò Hu?, Mì Qu?ng, and Bánh Xèo. As a first-generation Vietnamese American, these savory soups and crispy crepes serve as a bridge to my family’s rich history. I treasure being able to share these meals with family and friends.

When I am not working, I am: Actively trying to see and experience as much of the world as humanly possible. I take advantage of every opportunity to travel. I’ve been to 35 countries (and counting) as of 2023. To build a deeper understanding and appreciation for different walks of life, a well-positioned itinerary should include visits to both developed and developing countries. I love embracing local customs and traditions, expanding my palate, and supporting local businesses. This translates to my life back in NYC where I am also passionate about giving back to the community and empowering women and minorities through my affiliations with the Student Leadership Network and Heart of Dinner.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? At Tredway, we promote upward socioeconomic mobility by creating and preserving high-quality, high-opportunity housing. I am working on the acquisition of 1,300+ units across the country and asset-managing another 950+ units. With every decision made, I am proud of my role in finding creative solutions to build communities, preserve affordability, and generate long-term positive impact.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?
“Victoria approaches her work with empathy, grit and intellectual curiosity, all of which make her a Rising Star and an important part of the next generation of women in real estate.” - Will Blodgett, Founder of Tredway
