How many years have you been in your current field? 36

What was your greatest professional achievement or most notable project in the last 12 months?

We are in the final phase of a beautiful residential renovation at the Alwyn Court in Manhattan. After two years in design and development and a long review process, we are now in construction. Next to design, construction is my favorite part of a project. At this point all decisions become realized as we fine-tune the design with the contractors in the field. I am very excited to see our design vision finally realized this spring.

What trend(s) do you predict to dominate your industry in 2019?

In retail, ecommerce retailers are continuing to build brick and mortar stores. The entire nature of the retail has changed with consumers expecting an omni-channel experience where they can seamlessly shop the internet and the store as one experience. This is putting more pressure on traditional brick and mortar retailers to step up their game in terms of technology and store design. It is critical today for them to create a seamless online and instore experience that captures and holds the attention of today’s shoppers. The recent renovation and reimaging of the Saks flagship is one of many examples of this trend.

Which of your philanthropic endeavors are you most proud of?

I am incredibly proud of my involvement and contributions to CREW New York. I have been a member for 19 years and served on the Board as a committee chair for a total of 8 of those years. Most recently in 2018, I served as co-chair of our 40th Anniversary Gala Committee. Prior to that as CREW New York’s network and member recognition chair I created our CREW Connections program and awards program. CREW Connections provides networking opportunities and professional support for our members. The awards program recognized their achievement in commercial real estate and acknowledges their contribution to the organization.
